Browser–based access to Lawson applications.
Managing relationships with your employees and maximizing their productivity requires two things: Giving your employees access to the critical software applications they need to do their job, and providing a forum for them to communicate with one another on a weekly, daily, even hourly, basis. The Lawson Portal, an online user interface, helps you do both while enabling ease of administration and long-term viability.
Optimized User Experience
Because it was designed using concepts commonly found on the Internet, the browser-based Portal provides a familiar work environment for users. The Portal has a comfortable "look and feel," intuitive navigation, and other user-friendly features that reduce training needs. End users have easy control over a wide variety of default attributes – such as personally preferred hotkeys, navigation options, and frequently used application forms – allowing them to tailor the Portal to their own work habits and work needs.
Additionally, if users do have a question about using the Portal or any of their Lawson applications, they can get help without ever leaving the Portal. The Lawson Knowledge Base – the Lawson software documentation and help database – is built right into the Portal’s interface.

The Lawson Portal helps you maximize productivity with a dynamic, consolidated work environment that provides everything your individual employees need to do their jobs. With the Portal, employees can store all of their critical job tools and information sources – internal and external web content, Lawson and non-Lawson applications, online communities, and more – all in one convenient place.
Additionally, the Portal allows each user to personalize his or her home page. They can add, remove, or reposition content to meet their needs.

Role-based authentication provides employees access to only the information and applications that are relevant to them, filtering out content that isn’t necessary or appropriate. Lawson Portal is completely integrated with Lawson Security features and enables single-sign on and centralized user administration.

The portal also helps you foster relationships with and between your employees by providing an enterprise-wide communications channel and online information center. You can communicate corporate information quickly and easily to your entire workforce.
Easy to Deploy
Developed to leverage Lawson’s open architecture, the Portal requires nothing on the client PC except a browser. This thin-client architecture dramatically reduces the complexities of deployment and ongoing administration.
Customizable for Your Organization
Using Lawson Design Studio, your staff can customize the Lawson Portal and back office application interface to meet your specific organizational requirements. Design Studio is a "drag and drop" graphical development environment that you can use to enhance Lawson applications, create new content, or modify current Portal content.
