M3 Forecasting provides companies with tools to successfully estimate future demand.

M3 Forecasting is the business function that attempts to estimate future demand. Such estimates are usually needed to plan material procurement, manufacturing activities and long-term capacity. They are also used for financial control and cash flow planning.

M3 Forecasting (FOR) contains several different functions that support forecasting. These are integrated with customer order processing, sales and customer order statistics, master production scheduling, material planning and distribution requirements planning.
