Forecasting Introduction (e)




This one-day course focuses on how Lawson M3 supports forecasting. Forecasts are an estimate of future demand and are needed to plan material procurement, manufacturing activities and long-term capacity. They are also used for financial control and cash flow planning, this to be able to take the right decision at the right time.

What Does This Course Cover?
This course aims to help you understand how Lawson M3 supports the forecasting process and what customers usually require regarding forecasting tools and process.

This course will demonstrate:
· Demand and time dimensions
· The concepts of manual and automatically forecasts
· Manual forecasting
· Automatic forecasting
· How the forecast consumption works in the material plan
· The difference between sales forecasts and production forecasts
· Sales forecasting in datasets.

Who Should Attend?
This course is recommended for end users who work with sales and/or production forecasting in Lawson M3.

To benefit from this course we recommend that you have a basic understanding of:
· Material requirements planning (theoretical knowledge)
· Lawson M3 and how to navigate in it
· Business Process Design Tool (BPDT) and how to navigate in it.
