M3 COQ is a genuinely international solution. Multiple languages can be used in all communication with customers. Different units of measure handle cultural differences such as metric and imperial measurement systems. Currency and multicurrency management handles export sales and European Union requirements.

Date formats and time zones handle calculation and presentation of agreed-upon dates and times. Legal statistics requirements such as EU Intrastat and US sales tax are also covered.

Quotation Entry Through Multiple Channels
Quotations can be entered in various ways. The quotation may be created in-house, through M3 Web Shop, EDI or XML, or by salespeople working offline at the customer site. No matter which channel is used, the same business rules are reused to return consistent results to both the customer and the salesperson.

Document Management
Delivering information in the right format with relevant content for a specific customer is a value-adding activity. The method of communication can be set up individually for each customer. M3 COQ supports printouts, EDI, XML, e-mail and more. How information is presented on your sales quotation documents can be configured per customer.

Supply Chain Integration

All information about availability and lead times for acquiring a product is available at quotation entry. Thus, it is possible to directly respond with expected delivery dates and times when a sales quotation is created.

Convert Quotation to Customer Order
When the customer has accepted the quote, you can automatically create a customer order from the quote. All unique prices, discounts, charges and so on are transferred from the quotation to the customer order.

Through this tight integration, no information or time is lost between quotation and customer order. Of course, information may be overridden, completed or changed after the order has been created.

Reference to Projects or Common Objects
Reference object IDs and project IDs can be used to connect several sales quotations belonging to the same project or sales activity. The sales quotations can then be monitored and followed up on using these IDs.

Manage Quotations Proactively
Follow-up dates and associated activities can be defined for each sales quotation. These activities are used to plan sales calls, follow-up letters and so on. By using and monitoring these activity dates, including the final validity date, you will always stay in control of your open sales quotations.

By using the reason codes connected to the sales quotation, you can report the outcome from both successful and lost sales quotations. The analyses based on reason codes statistics help you improve your sales quotation process for the next time.
